City Council

The Winona City Council will hold an informational meeting next Monday, January 7th, at City Hall prior to its first regular meeting of the new year. Councilmembers will hear a presentation on the city's sand moratorium study final report at 5:15 p.m.

During the regular meeting at 6:30 p.m, new mayor Mark Peterson and new at-large councilman Paul Double will be sworn in. The new Third Ward councilperson Pamela Eide was sworn in right after the November election to fill the vacant seat. First Ward incumbent Al Thurley will also take the oath for another 4 year term.

Both meetings are open to the public.

Also, Winona County has annunced that a County Land Records meeting scheduled for next Monday, January 7th, has been cancelled. The next meeting will be in February.
