R-P School Alarms

The Rushford-Peterson school's detection and alarm systems were replaced over the holiday break.

According to the Tri-County Record, a total of 90 sensors were installed, all of which detect heat and 72 of them also detect smoke.

An inspection by the state fire marshal showed the system to be outdated and needing an overhaul.

The new system, which cost $16,000, features a control panel that identifies which exact sensor is being alarmed.
