The Saint Mary’s men played right with Gustavus for 30 minutes last night but the Gusties pulled away in the final ten minutes and won 75-56. Saint Mary’s used a 19-9 run in the second half to take their only lead at 45-43, but then Gustavus came right back with a 23-4 run over the next seven minutes to take control of the game.

Michael Burfeind led Saint Mary’s with 13 points and Evan Pederson added 10. Winona High graduate Martin Feddersen had 2 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists for Gustavus and Wabasha-Kellogg graduate Jordan Dick finished with 7 points.
Saint Mary’s drops to 1-8 overall and 0-4 in the MIAC.
