The Saint Mary’s women’s basketball team lost a showdown against one of the top two teams in the MIAC last night falling to Gustavus 86-66. The Gusties were on fire from the field shooting 59.3 percent for the game. Saint Mary’s had three players in double figures led by Jessica Thone’s 21 points. Jamie Stefely had 15 points and 8 rebounds while freshman Bridget Pethke added a career high 14 points.

Saint Mary’s drops to 7-2 overall and 4-2 in conference play and Gustavus moves to 6-0 in the MIAC.
