Klobachar-Visit

Minnesota Senator Amy Klobachar will be in Winona on Monday to tour the National Child Protection Training Center on the Winona State University campus.

It's one of three stops Klobachar will make in southeastern Minnesota on Monday.

Klobachar recently introduced bipartisan legislation that would establish the local center as one of four regional child protection training centers in the U-S.

The centers would create new curricula for undergraduates and graduates in fields where they most likely would be involved in identifying and reporting cases of child abuse.

Joining Klobachar on the tour will be University President Scott Olson, County Attorney Karin Sonneman, Police Chief Paul Bostrack, and Sheriff Dave Brand.
