Quist Running

Allen Quist has made it official.

The Republican Quist announced he will be a candidate in the special election for the Minnesota House of Representatives in District 19-A.

Quist was defeated in November by Democrat Tim, Walz for the First District Congressional seat.

Quist served three two-year terms in the Minnesota House in the 1980s and says he brings a wealth of experience to the post if elected.

Quist would enter the legislature with credit for his previous experience giving him three terms of seniority.

Governor Mark Dayton has not yet scheduled the special election.
