Klobachar--Spending Cuts

While Republicans in Congress say the focus over the next two months should be on spending cuts, Democratic Minnesota Senator Amy Klobachar continues to support a continued balanced approach.

In Winona Monday Klobachar told Winona Radio News there are places for budget cuts to be made, like in the defense department programs and health care.  Klobachar said Republicans are going to have to compromise on the spending cuts before the deadline to reach agreement at the and of February.

Klobachar said the so called 'fiscal cliff' compromise reached just before the first of the year will mean additional revenue of $600 billion over the next ten years.
