Fur Catch Reports

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge reminds Mississippi River trappers who utilize the Refuge to submit their fur catch reports before the April 15th deadline.

The report is required of every trapper who was issued Refuge trap tags, even if they didn't trap this season. Refuge trappers who fail to meet the April 15th deadline may not be eligible to receive trap tags for the 2013-2014 trapping season.

Although a few trapping seasons remain open at this time, the Refuge encourages trappers to submit reports early in order to provide the most current and accurate data. All trapping on the Refuge ends March 15th, 2013. Refuge trap tags and permits are still being issued and are available at District Offices.
There were 354 Refuge trapping permits issued for the 2011-2012 trapping season.
