The Cotter boys’ led eighth ranked Byron at halftime but lost 54-39. Cotter led 27-23 at the half but the Bears outscored the Ramblers 31-12 in the second half. Charlie Kretschmer had 11 points for Cotter and Jon Eichman added 10. Cotter drops to 5-5 and they are 0-3 in the HVL Gold Division.

The Cotter girls suffered its first HVL Gold Division loss falling to Byron 56-49. Kathleen Bowlin finished with 17 points while Paige Gernes had 11 points and 8 assists. Cotter drops to 6-7 overall and 2-1 in league play.
