One of the first bills to be introduced in the Minnesota legislature now that the session is underway will be a measure to pay back K-12 schools part of the funds the legislature borrowed to balance the current budget.
The bill will earmark $550 million to go back to the schools and Representative Gene Pelowski says anticipated revenue increases will be used to shft the funds back.
New DFL House leader Representative Paul Thissen other said early bills that are expected to be introduced include a proposal to create a state-based health insurance exchange and a couple of jobs bills.
