The Winona State indoor track and field team is ranked 24th in the USTFCCCA Preseason poll, the organization announced today.
The Warriors return All-American Alissa Raush to their lineup, a thrower who has already recorded a NCAA Championship automatic qualifying mark in the shot put this season. Rausch was one of five Warriors who claimed event titles at the MSU Preseason Open in Mankato, Minn. on Dec. 8.
Winona State is one of three NSIC teams in the nation’s top-25, joined by Augustana (No. 7) and Mary (No. 8). Defending national champion Grand Valley State holds the top spot in the preseason poll. WSU will open its 2013 competition at the Wisconsin Badger Classic on Saturday.
