There is a new program in Winona with a mission to repair the damage of sexual and domestic violence.
                
The Mending Project, according to spokesman Joe Morse, is a concrete way for men to step forward and support services for victims of sexual assault and violence.

It's being seen as a kind of pilot project for the state which is supported by the local "Beyond Tough Guise" organization.  That organization's project coordinator Shel Hiscock says they are looking for partners to join in on helping out the victims of violence in the Winona community.
