Frozen River Film Festival

Winona State University will present the eighth annual Frozen River Film Festival January 23rd through the 27th.

The opening film Thursday, January 24th, is "Living Downstream" featuring cancer victim Sandra Steingraber, which concerns the gap between what scientists and the medical community regard as the causes of cancer. Steingraber will be available to speak after the film.

World-renowned musician Evan Christopher will appear as the featured performer in Winona's third annual New Orleans Jazz Artist Series at 7:30 p.m. Friday, January 25th, in the Performing Arts Center. Tickets for Christopher are $15, or free for members of Friends of Jazz.

Tickets can be purchased at the FRFF Box Office at 121 W. Third Street, or onsite at festival events. WSU students are able to attend festival events for free as long as they present their student ID at each event.
