The Saint Mary’s men’s basketball team got off to a slow start last night and couldn’t recover in a 63-48 loss to Saint John’s. Saint John’s jumped out to a 14-0 lead and led by 18 at halftime after Saint Mary’s shot 30 percent in the first half. Michael Burfeind and Will Swiggum both had 10 points for Saint Mary’s as the Cardinals drop to 2-12 overall and 1-8 in the MIAC.
