New Winona Health Board Chair

Ken Mogren was recently named chairman of the Winona Health board of directors. replacing Gary Evans who served as board chair for more than 20 years. Mogren is a Winona native who has served on the Winona Health board since 2004.

Mogren recently retired as president of Winona Agency, Inc. after more than 40 years. He is a strong advocate for maintaining life-long health.

Evans said as he looks back at the past 20 years, he recognizes what significant and progressive changes have occurred: the mergers with the Winona Clinic and Family Medicine, the construction of a new office building at the southeastern end of the campus, the ramp up in technology and a growing reputation in the world of health care that Winona Health is one of the premiere small-town systems in the nation.

The board is responsible for establishing Winona Health's strategic direction; quality and safety; financial oversight; and setting organizational policy. Board members are committed to guiding Winona Health in its mission to improve the health and well-being of the greater Winona area community while remaining a strong and independent, not-for-profit community-owned healthcare system.
