The Winona State men’s basketball team ran its winning streak to eight games last night beating Upper Iowa 68-53. Upper Iowa beat Winona State earlier this season in Winona on a last second shot. The Warriors’ defense was tough holding the Peacocks to just 34.5 percent shooting from the field. Clayton Vette led the way with 16 points and Grant Johnson added 15. Winona State is now 14-3 overall and 8-2 in the NSIC.

The Winona State women beat Upper Iowa 70-61. Abby Busch scored a career high 22 points while Becca Friestleben added 20. Winona State is 12-5 overall and 6-4 in the NSIC.
