The Minnesota State Lottery contributed a record $124,000,000 to state programs last year, including almost $1,000,000 from House District 28-A, that includes a portion of Winona County and all of the City of Winona.

28-A Representative Gene Pelowski said the contributions from his district included $523,000 to the General Fund...$238,000 to the Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund... and almost $94,000 each to the Game and Fish Fund and Natural Resources Fund.

Pelowski said the largest portion goes to the General Fund helps education, health and human services, local government aid, and other parts of the state budget.
