Governor's Budget

Republican State Senator Jeremy Miller of Winona says he expects Governor Dayton's proposed budget will include more taxes and spending.

Miller told Winona Radio News Republicans solved a 6-billion dollar budget without raising taxes and currently the state has a $2.5 billion surplus as the result those actions.  Miller also says he has concerns about the state being able to create more jobs if the Democrats pursue more tax increases.

Once the budget proposal is released next Tuesday the different House and Senate committees will begin debate on it.
