Representative Greg Davids says he fears huge tax increases when Governor Mark Dayton unveils his budget proposal next week.
Davids, who chaired the House Tax Committee last session, and is the ranking Republican on the committee this session, says he hopes the committee will give a fair hearing on the proposal but he fears the impact it will have on businesses.
Davids also told Winona Radio News he wants to minimize the damage the tax increases may cause. Davids predicted the Dayton budget will contain some $6 billion more in state spending.
