Hundreds of Minnesotans and organizations will be getting a letter soon seeking information on how to increase wages and expand economic security for the state's workers.
                
DFL Representative Ryan Winkler, who chairs the House Living Wage Jobs Committee, calls the letters a first step in the process.

The letter includes a short work sheet and asks organizations if they would be interested in co-hosting a hearing over the next year.
                
Winkler says he plans to hold public hearings in the legislature and across the state.
