The Winona State softball team has been picked to finished third in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference this spring. Minnesota State-Mankato was picked to win the conference followed by Augustana, Winona State, Minnesota-Duluth and Concordia-St. Paul. Winona State was the only team of the top five teams that didn’t receive a first place vote.
Winona State went 44-12 last year and finished third in the NSIC with a 20-6 conference record. The Warriors also advanced to the NCAA regional tournament for the sixth straight season. Minnesota State-Mankato won the NSIC title a year ago.
