Smith--Assault

Police said 28 year old Jason Wayne Smith of Winona was held in custody over the weekend on preliminary charges of second degree felony assault and making terrorisitic threats.

Sargent Chris Nelson said officers were called to an apartment in the 1100 block of Sugar Loaf Road about 10:30 p.m. Saturday.   A second male told officers he was threatened by Smith who pointed a knife at him and threatened to stab him. There were no injuries.

Smith was also charged with violating a harrassment order for showing up at the apartment.
