School Board--Budget Cuts



The Winona Area Public School Board will get its first look at proposed budget cuts for the 2013-14 school year when the board meets Thursday evening at City Hall.
                  
Superintendent Scott Hannon  will present his recommendations on budget cuts to the board for review.  Earlier the board had indicated the first round of cuts could total about $500,000.
                 
The board is not expected to approve the proposed cuts until its February 21st. meeting.  A special public hearing on the proposed budget cuts will be held on Thursday, January 31st, at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall.
The board is also expected to take final action on Thursday on some course proposals for the 2013-14 school year for Winona High School.
