The 59th Annual Eagles Cancer Telethon held at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester over the weekend was a huge success.
Telethon Director, Teresa Chapman, says as of late Sunday afternoon they had already set a new record with over $904,000.
Chapman says the total is now up to over $906,000 with internet donations that are still coming in. She says setting a new record was a real community effort.
All the proceeds from the cancer telethon stays local, going to fund cancer research at Mayo Clinic, the Hormel Institute and the University of Minnesota.
The Eagles Cancer Telethon is the country's longest running, totally local telethon and is televised on KTTC.
