Hope Lutheran Girls Produce Big Second Half Against Houston, Hurricane Boys Get First Win

The Hope Lutheran girls beat Houston 48-35 after trailing by two at halftime. The Hurricanes led 27-25 at halftime but the Patriots outscored the Hurricanes 22-8 in the second half. Maddy Tucker led the Patriots in scoring with 14 points and Abbey Loken scored 20 points for Houston. Hope Lutheran is 13-4 overall and 7-4 in conference play and Houston drops to 4-10 overall and 3-7 in the Southeast Conference.
Houston boys got their first win of the season beating Hope Lutheran 43-40. Mason Drake led Houston in scoring 15 points. Andrew Fratzke had 18 points for the Patriots and Jason Klug added 14. Houston is 1-14 while Hope Lutheran drops to 6-11 overall and 3-8 in the Southeast Conference.
G-E-T beat Altoona in boys’ action 66-48. The Redhawks got 21 points from Tim Wagner and improve to 12-4.
