Campbell-Wilson--Assault



Winona Police said a 44-year-old Winona woman was jailed Monday evening after she allegedly threatened a man and started a fire in her residence.
             
Deputy Police Chief Tom Williams said Shelly Ann Campbell-Wilson was jailed on suspicion of felony counts of second degree assault and terroristic  threats.
               
Officers were called to the residence in the 800 block of Gilmore Avenue just after 10:00 p.m. where they learned that Campbell-Wilson had allegedly started a fire in a bedroom carpet an had pointed a knife at a male occupant.  The 40-year-old man told police he managed to put the fire out with little damage to the carpet.
                
The man also told police that Campbell had threatened him with the knife.  There were no injuries.  The case was referred to the county attorney's office for a review of possible formal charges against Campbell-Wilson.
