Winona Health Donation

The Winona Health Auxiliary announced that the organization raised over $80,000 for Winona Health during 2012.

The group held its annual meeting last Thursday and said the grand total of Auxiliary gifts in 2012 was $81,000.

New President Nancy Enochs presented  Rachelle Schultz, Winona Health CEO with a check for $55,000 which will be used to enhance the healing environment for patients.  $23,000 was awarded for healthcare scholarships in 2012 and $3,000 was given for projects to benefit residents at Senior Living at Watkins, Roger Metz, Adith Miller and Lake Winona manors.

In addition to the funds raised throughout 2012, last year volunteers provided over 30,500 hours of service to Winona Health. Using current US average hourly wage value for volunteer's time, that amounts to a gift equivalent of over $660,000 in service time.
Nancy Enohs was elected Auxiliary president for 2013...Sheryl Miller, president-elect...Sheila Linds as secretary...and Carol Partington as treasurer.  Winona Health volunteers who reached milestones ranging from 100 to 9,500 hours of service were also honored.
