State Representative Gene Pelowski of Winona says his House Higher Education Finance and Policy Committee will begin hearings next Monday on how colleges and universities in the state have been impacted by reduced state funding.
                
Pelowski told Winona Radio News his committee will look at a wide variety of issues in the most extensive hearings in about 15 years.  Pelowski says he wants answers to a lot of questions before a funding recommendation is made.

Pelowski says the University of Minnesota will begin its public presentation at the state capital next Monday, January 28th, and the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities will follow that.
