The Minnesota Twins winter caravan made a stop in Winona Wednesday night and was greeted by a large crowd at the Cathedral of Sacred Heart. Twins’ pitchers Cole DeVries and Liam Hendricks came down along with Twins general manager Terry Ryan and Hall of Fame pitcher Bert Blyleven. Ryan made a lot of different moves this winter to try to improve the team’s starting pitching and he says the key was to add depth to the rotation and he believes they've done that with additions of Vance Worley, Kevin Correia and Mike Pelfrey. Ryan also addressed the situation in the outfield after the Twins traded away outfielders Denard Span and Ben Revere in the offseason. He said Josh Willingham will start in left and Chris Parmalee will have a chance to be the starter in right field. Ryan said Darin Mastroianni, Joe Benson and Aaron Hicks will battle for the centerfield spot.
