Winona State University Vice President for Student Life and Development, Connie Gores has been chosen as one of two finalists for president of Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall.
Gores has been with Winona State University since 2007 and also served as interim WSU president last summer prior to president Scott Olson assuming the position in July.
Chosen as the second finalist for the Southwest Minnesota State job was Ronald Rosati current provost at Southeast Missouri State University. The two candidates will be on the Southwest Minnesota campus for visits and interviews January 30th through February First.
The Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Board of Trustees will choose the final person for the job. The board is expected to act on Chancellor Steven Rosenstone's recommendation at its February 26th meeting.
The new president will assume the duties next July.
