An informational meeting will be held next month for those interested in serving on the Winona County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).
        
The meeting will be held Tuesday, February 12th at 6:00 p.m. at Winona County Community Services located in Winona at 202 West Third Street.

CERT Team members assist emergency response personnel in stabilizing the local neighborhoods/communities when a disaster strikes, and help to increase neighborhood preparedness for emergencies during other times.  Topics covered in the training include: Disaster Psychology, Terrorism, Disaster Medical Operations, and Light Search & Rescue Operations.

Training consists of six, three-hour classes that will meet once a week.
