Spinal Cord Injury Bill

A bill was introduced in the Minnesota legislature to create a research grant program into spinal cord injuries and help finance new and innovative treatments for them.

The legislation would invest $8 million into a program that awards grants to publicly funded institutions for research into spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injuries.

One of the bill's sponsors, DFL Representative  Laurie Halvorson of Eagan says she is hopeful the legislation will get approval.  The legislation is named after two families whose sons, Jack Jablonski and Gabe Rodreick, suffered spinal cord injuries.
