Winona Radio wants to correct some information in a story we ran on January 22nd. The ages of both people mentioned in the story were incorrect according to the woman's stepdaughter. The story should have read.
Winona Police said a 50 year old Winona woman was jailed after she allegedly threatened a man and started a fire in her residence.
Deputy Police Chief Tom Williams said Shelly Ann Campbell-Wilson was jailed on suspicion of felony counts of second degree assault and terroristic threats. She was also charged with attempted arson but those charges were filed after our story ran.
Officers were called to the residence in the 800 block of Gilmore Avenue where they learned that Campbell-Wilson had allegedly started a fire in a bedroom carpet an had pointed a knife at a male occupant.
The 50 year old male told police he managed to put the fire out with little damage to the carpet. The man also told police that Campbell had threatened him with the knife. There were no injuries.
The case was referred to the county attorney's office for a review of possible formal charges against Campbell-Wilson.
