WSU Alum Headed to NFL



Former Winona State football player and coach Carson Walch is headed to the NFL. Walch signed a two-year contract with the Chicago Bears to be a quality control offensive coach under new head coach Marc Trestman. Walch was the wide receivers coach under Trestman this past year with the Montreal Alouettes in the Canadian Football League. He was an assistant coach with Winona State from 2007-2009 and was an all-american running back during his playing days at Winona State from 1996-1999. Walch played high school football at Elgin-Millville High School.
