Representative Gene Pelowski says he still has a lot of questions after University of Minnesota officials appeared before Pelowski's Higher Education Finance and Policy committee on Monday.  Pelowski said when asked about why the University raised tuition over the past several years, the response was "because we could" and not because there was a need.
               
Pelowski says he needs more answers as his committee tries to trace where the funding went.  Pelowski says his committee will also seeks answers about the large number of administrators that have been hired.

Pelowski's committee will also be seeking the same answers from Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system when their representatives appear before his committee.
