Cotter Junior High Science Fair

The Cotter Junior High Science Fair Wednesday afternoon provided parents and the public a chance to see up close the variety of projects the 7th and 8th graders created.

Cotter Junior High science teacher, Tammy Drazkowski, says nearly 100 students participated and picked out the type of projects they’re interested in so they could have fun while they learned.

Overall 1st place went to 8th grader Nick Beranek, whose project showed the importance of wing dams on the Mississippi River.

Drazkowski says all the 1st place finishers now advance to the Southeast Minnesota-Western Wisconsin Regional Science Fair hosted by Winona State University on Friday, March1st.
