New Winona Mark Peterson announced Monday he's forming a Levee Park revitalization committee.

Peterson says there are already several former city employees who have agreed to head the committee, including the former Police Chief, Frank Pomeroy and former City Manager, Eric Sorenson.

City staff will also be part of the committee. The mayor says the goal is to start meeting before the end of the month and start getting input on features they might like to see added.

One of Peterson's campaign goals if elected Mayor was to revitalize Levee Park so it could again showcase the community's riverfront.
