Different reactions to Governor Mark Dayton's state of the state speech Wednesday night at the state capital.
Republican Representative Greg Davids of Preston had some harsh words for the governor calling the talk both unremarkable and pathetically partisan. Davids also called the Governor the "Great Divider."
Democratic Speaker of the House Paul Thissen said Dayton laid out a positive vision for Minnesota.
The speech is largely a pitch for Dayton's proposal to hike income taxes on the wealthy and expand the state sales tax to more purchases. But Dayton also endorsed same-sex marriage, an issue lawmakers might tackle later this session.
