A 30 year old Rochester woman was sentenced in Federal Court in Minneapolis Wednesday to 130 months in prison for taking part in an armed robbery at a McDonald's restaurant in Byron.
Quiana Evans had pleaded guilty last October after she was indicted last May.
Evans admitted that she and another man, Christian Alexander, who was armed with a pistol, entered the McDonald's in Byron in June of 2011 and stole about $1850 in cash.
Alexander was sentenced to 168 months in prison on December 3rd, for his part in the Byron robbery, plus similar robbery's at Winona's McDonald's West restaurant and a McDonald's restaurant in Rochester.
The Evans case was the result of an investigation by the US Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms and the Olmstead County Sheriff's Department. Winona Police assisted in the Alexander investigation.
Because the federal system has no parole, the two must serve virtually their entire sentences.
