Franken will be at the St. Charles Community Center at 9:30 a.m. to talk about his efforts to pass a five year Farm Bill. He has co-sponsored legislation similar to the five year Farm Bill the Senate passed in 2012 but which never made it to the House for a vote, forcing enactment of a temporary extension of the existing Farm Bill that expires next September.
It's one of two stops Franken will make in southeastern Minnesota Saturday. The other stop will be Albert Lea where Franken will attend the First Robotics League scrimmage at Riverland Community College.
