Sunday Liquor Sales

Two Republican state lawmakers from the Winona area are differing in their positions when it comes to Sunday liquor sales in Minnesota.

While Republican Jeremy Miller is co-sponsoring legislation to make sales on Sundays optional for liquor store owners, Representative Greg Davids is  continuing his longstanding opposition to it.

Davids says he favors allowing the liquor store owners to continue to have a day off.  Davids, whose district borders both Wisconsin and Iowa, told Winona Radio News he has received few complaints about the lack of Sunday liquor sales in his district.
