An informational meeting for those interested in serving on the Winona County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) will be held this Tuesday, February 12th.
The meeting will start at 6:00 p.m. at Winona County Community Services located in Winona at 202 West Third Street.
CERT Team members assist emergency response personnel in local neighborhoods and communities when a disaster strikes. They also help to increase neighborhood preparedness for emergencies.
Topics covered in the training include: Disaster Psychology and Medical Operations, Terrorism, and Light Search & Rescue Operations.
Training consists of six, three-hour classes that meet once a week.
