Business Taxes

The Minnesota House Tax Committee has been taking a closer look at the so-called business-to-business sales tax proposal proposed by Governor Mark Dayton.

Republican ranking tax committee member Greg Davids says they discovered that tax proposal has some unintended consequences when it comes to cities and counties.  Davids says there is some good news...the Governor has backed off the business-to-business sales tax when it comes to large-animal veterinary services.
Davids says veterinarians who serve smaller animals like cats and dogs would still have to pay the business-to-business tax under the proposal, probably tacking that charge on to the animal owner's bills.
