CAPX2020 Project



The construction of the nearly two billion dollar CapX2020 high power transmission line that will run through the Rochester area and through Buffalo and Trempealeau Counties is underway.
                
KTTC TV reports crews are constructing foundations for the 16-mile transmission line branch near Pine Island that will connect Rochester. The main line will cross the Mississippi River at Alma from Wabasha county and wind its way south to La Crosse.
The main line to Alma is expected to be completed in 2014 with the entire 345 kilovolt line earmarked for completion in 2015.....
