Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Training is slated to start on Monday, February 25th in Winona.
The training will consist of five, three-hour classes that will meet once a week from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Mondays at the Winona County Community Services building at 202 West Third Street.
CERT Team members assist local firefighters, emergency managers and emergency medical personnel in stabilizing local neighborhoods and communities when they are stricken by disaster.
Training topics include: Disaster Psychology, Terrorism, Disaster Medical Operations, and Light Search and Rescue Operations.
The training is free and open to the public.
