Minnesota Secretary of State Mark Ritchie has announced the official results for State House District 19A special election as certified Thursday by the State Canvassing Board.
The official results of the House District 19A special election held on Tuesday show DFLer Clark Johnson winning the election with 2,680 votes.
Republican Allen Quist had 1,801 votes and Tim Gieseke (Independence) finished with 511 votes.
House District 19A includes parts of Blue Earth Counties, including part of Mankato, in southern Minnesota. The resignation of Representative Terry Morrow created the vacancy.
