Two Winona High Nordic skiers took part in the Minnesota State Nordic Ski Meet yesterday in Biwabik. Junior Kaitlyn Lindaman finished 74th in the girls’ race while junior Hunter Tibor(tee-ber) came in 84th in the boys’ race.

The Winona High wrestling team won a match at the Section 1AA team wrestling tournament in Owatonna. The Winhawks beat Rochester Century 38-36 for their first win against a Big Nine Conference opponent in eight years. Winona High did lose their next match to Owatonna 75-6 to end the team portion of their season with a 2-17 record. George Weege had two pins for the Winhawks.

At the Section 1A tournament the Lewiston-Altura/Rushford-Peterson wrestling team lost to the Caledonia Coop 33-26.
