A researcher from the University of Minnesota was in Winona Friday gathering information for a video documentary on the Minnesota Capital in St. Paul.
                   
County Recorder Bob Bambenek said  Randy Croce spent time looking for details on the Winona Stone that was shipped to St. Paul for the foundation of the capital building. The stone was shipped by rail car from Winona to St. Paul in June of 1896.

The documentary will include information on all materials used in the construction and the parties that preformed the work......
