Brand said authorities were called to a residence along County Road 31 just after midnight on Monday on a report of two men acting suspiciously.
When a deputy arrived the two men fled on foot. Their footprints were tracked in the snow and one of the men, Daniel Almanza, was found hiding behind a bush. The second man was not located and may have left the area.
Brand said Almanza was cited with obstructing the legal process and held in jail for extradition to Texas. Brand said Almanza had been living in Plainview.
