Tax Increases--Davids

State Representative Greg Davids is predicting if Governor Dayton's tax increase proposals were brought to a vote in the House and Senate chambers they would fail miserably.

Davids, who serves on the House Tax Committee, says the Dayton budget proposals have actually brought many Republicans and Democrats together in their opposition.  He says the state should use the revenues the state already has in place.

Davids says he has heard a lot of opposition from businesses to the so-called business to business tax which, he says, also includes having businesses pay sales tax on their advertising, in addition to other purchases.
